Addis Ababa Ethiopia Photos
One of the guide books we have suggested that Addis Ababa (translated as ‘New Flower’) would ‘grow on us’ as we stay longer. Unfortunately we spend there only couple of days when arrived to Ethiopia and one more day just before departure… As a result we only saw dusty and chaotic city with even more chaotic ‘architecture’… We also read that Ethiopian capital attracts pickpockets, all sort of con artists, and bogus ‘students’… We didn’t see much of them… The people we met on street were (mostly) helpful, the content of our pockets survived, and no one tried to trick us (with exception of couple failed negotiations with taxi drivers)… Addis was not a city I fell in love with, but it definitely left an imprint in my memory.
